HS Golf: Sharks Edge Seahawks, Bobcats’ McIntyre Medalist At Dolphin Head

May River High School edged Hilton Head Island High School by two shots, and Bluffton High School’s Kaylia McIntyre claimed individual medalist honors in a four-team girls golf meet at Dolphin Head Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Sharks posted a team score of 192 with Kathryn Thorne and Molly Minasi lead the way with nine-hole rounds of 45 to finish two shots clear of the Seahawks.

McIntyre carded a 5-over-par 41 to claim medalist honors by one shot over Hilton Head Island’s Emma Hayward. Izzy Stone led Beaufort High with a 45 to tie for third.

The same four teams play again at 4 p.m. Thursday at Eagles Point Golf Club.
