HSBB: SCHSL Playoffs Open Tonight

It’s playoff time for South Carolina public school basketball teams, and the postseason begins tonight for four local teams.

The Class 3A girls playoffs get underway tonight with Region 8-3A champion Ridgeland-Hardeeville and runner-up Battery Creek opening at home. The top-seeded Jaguars (14-3) will host No. 4 seed Hanahan, while the Dolphins (17-5) take on Lake Marion. Both games start at 7 p.m.

No. 3 seed May River (11-11) opens at No. 2 seed Manning, and No. 4 seed Bluffton (10-13) travels to top-seeded Bishop England for a first-round matchup.

On Tuesday, the action moves to the Class 4A girls and Class 3A boys brackets. Beaufort High (10-12) opens Class 4A girls play at top-seeded Myrtle Beach. In Class 3A boys action, top-seeded Ridgeland-Hardeeville (20-1) hosts Lake Marion, No. 3 seed Bluffton (15-8) travels to Manning, and No. 4 seed May River (9-8) plays at Bishop England.

First-round games wrap up Wednesday with Hilton Head High (10-12) traveling to top-ranked Wilson to open the boys Class 4A playoffs.

Class 3A girls: #3 Lake Marion (10-10) at #2 Battery Creek (17-5), 7 p.m.

Class 3A girls: #3 May River (11-11) at #2 Manning (19-5), 7 p.m.

Class 3A girls: #4 Hanahan (6-12) at #1 Ridgeland-Hardeeville (14-3), 7 p.m.

Class 3A girls: #4 Bluffton (10-13) at #1 Bishop England (16-4), 7 p.m.

Tuesday’s Games

Class 4A girls: #4 Beaufort High (10-12) at #1 Myrtle Beach (18-3), 7 p.m.

Class 3A boys: #4 May River (9-8) at #1 Bishop England (10-9), 7 p.m.

Class 3A boys: #4 Lake Marion (5-12) at #1 Ridgeland-Hardeeville (20-1), 7 p.m.

Class 3A boys: #3 Bluffton (15-8) at #2 Manning (16-6), 7 p.m.

Wednesday’s Games

Class 4A boys: #4 Hilton Head High (10-12) at #1 Wilson (16-3), 7 p.m.
