Sand Sharks stun No. 10 Mariners in series finale
Mackenzie Freeman came through with a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning, and USCB softball knocked off NAIA No. 10 Coastal Georgia 3-2 at home Wednesday to win the finale of a three- game series and hand the Mariners their first Sun Conference defeat after dropping both ends of a doubleheader Tuesday.
HS SB: Cougars crush two key HRs, outslug Sharks
No. 9 hitter Christasia Holmes hit a go-ahead three-run blast in the eighth inning, and birthday girl Bailey Cox had a homer and three RBIs on her sweet 16 as Colleton County softball escaped with a wild 19-11 win at May River on Monday to open Region 7-4A play.
