Beaufort High at John Paul II
John Paul II and Beaufort High played to a 2-2 stalemate Thursday in Ridgeland. The Eagles scored a run in the second and fifth innings to take a 2-0 lead, but a walk and wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning brought the Golden Warriors back.

USC Aiken commit Marlena Perez struck out 13 Bobcats in a no-hitter in a 9-0 win in the opener and closed out a 5-4 victory in the nightcap. After the Bobcats cut the lead to 5-3 on Katie Ryan’s RBI double in the fifth, Perez came in and got a pair of groundballs, but the Timberwolves booted one to bring Bluffton within one run and put the tying run on base. But Perez struck out the next two batters to end it and complete the sweep.
