HSFB: Sharks Hang On Vs. Cougars, Move To 10-0

May River completed an undefeated regular season with a 37-26 win at Colleton County on Friday.

The Cougars scored on a 96-yard pass on their first play from scrimmage for an early 7-0 lead, but the Sharks answered with a touchdown and a safety for a 9-7 halftime advantage.

May River led 23-7 entering the fourth quarter before the Cougars stormed back with two quick scores and a shootout ensued.

The Sharks rested many key players from the outset, but starting quarterback Ahmad Green entered and led a scoring drive in the fourth quarter to help preserve the perfect regular season.

May River (10-0) will host Lake City in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs next week.
