HSFB: Cavs Upset HHP In SCISA 2A Playoffs

Hilton Head Prep couldn’t take advantage of its top seed in the SCISA 2A playoffs, losing 39-26 to Robert E. Lee Academy on Friday at Richard Gray Sports Complex in Hardeeville.

The Dolphins fell behind 20-3 in the first quarter before a Gage Hurlbut touchdown run pulled them within 20-10. The Cavaliers extended the lead to 33-10 at halftime and led 39-10 before Prep charged back with a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Stone McDonald was 16-of-23 for 230 yards and rushed for 101 yards and a touchdowns on seven carries for the Dolphins, and Tommy Stauffer added an 80-yard touchdown run to go with 10 receptions for 187 yards.

The Dolphins finish the season with a 4-6 record.
