The RBC Heritage HSBB Players Of The Week For 12/18 Are …

We have a buzzer-beater, folks.

It went down to the wire in the voting for this week’s RBC Heritage Girls Basketball Player of the Week, and May River fans came up clutch.

With a late surge, May River sophomore forward Chynna Sneed pulled ahead of Hilton Head High’s Caroline Brammer to earn Player of the Week honors. Sneed, who averaged 12 points and eight rebounds during the Sharks’ 1-2 week, pulled in 19 more votes than Brammer.

The voting for the RBC Heritage Boys Basketball Player of the Week was not nearly as close. John Paul II freshman Amere Cherry ran away with the win after averaging 17.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.3 steals while the Golden Warriors went 1-2 last week. Cherry put up 23 points in a huge win over St. Andrew’s in the region opener Friday.

Congrats to the RBC Heritage Players of the Week, and thanks to all who voted and shared. We’ll take next week off for the holiday and be back to pick the first winners of 2018.
