Region 7-4A at Dataw Island
McAlister fired a blistering 31 to win medalist honors by three shots over teammate Jack Sumner, while Jack Lubkin and Gus Christian also finished in the top 10 to lead Beaufort High to a nine-shot win over May River on Tuesday at Dataw Island.

SCISA meet at Palmetto Dunes RTJ
Hilton Head Prep split its team and claimed the top two spots in the team standings, but John Paul II’s Gabe Schmitz earned individual medalist honors with a 1-under-par 35 on Wednesday at the Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes. Schmitz and Heritage Academy’s Michael Gavin were the only non-Dolphins to crack the top 10, as HHP claimed 11 of the top 13 spots with all five players on the winning HHP Blue team breaking 40 over nine holes.

McAlister claimed a share of another individual title, tying with Hilton Head High’s Ben Batson for medalist honors with a pair of 39s, and Beaufort finished 14 shots ahead of the runner-up Seahawks on Thursday at Dolphin Head Golf Club. The Eagles had four players shoot 45 or better and finish in the top eight on a tough day for scoring.
