That’s a wrap on the regular season. Week 10 of the high school football season is in the books, and it brought the culmination of a perfect regular-season slate at Hilton Head Christian Academy, the last chapter of unbeaten region slates for May River and Thomas Heyward, and massive wins for Battery Creek, Beaufort Academy, and Colleton Prep.
We’ll have full recaps and multimedia content throughout the weekend, but here’s your first look at the action from around the Lowco in Week 10 with the Lowco First Down.

May River 33, Hilton Head High 16: Garvin Douglas and Jaeon Allen each scored a pair of rushing TDs as the Sharks overcame a 10-6 halftime deficit and a huge night from Chase McCracken to win their sixth straight game.
Beaufort High 44, Colleton County 6: Kacy Fields had a pair of touchdown receptions — one from Zyrin Odom on a trick play — and Caleb Ulmer scored two rushing TDs to power the Eagles’ offense to another impressive showing in their regular-season finale.
James Island 35, Bluffton 0: The Trojans’ defense continued its recent dominance, shutting out the Bobcats at home to lock up the No. 3 seed from Region 7-4A and lock Bluffton into the No. 5 seed.
Battery Creek 34, North Charleston 0: Jeremiah Dilbert scored five rushing TDs and the Dolphins’ defense turned in a dominant outing to clinch a playoff spot on the road.
Philip Simmons 57, Ridgeland-Hardeeville 12: Hamid Brown and Wenson Smith hooked up for a TD pass to get the Jaguars within 7-6 early, and Brown added a TD run in the second half, but the Jags couldn’t keep pace with the No. 5 team in Class 2A.
Hilton Head Christian 42, Hilton Head Prep 0: Joseph Robinson scored three rushing TDs, and Jackson Lanier added rushing and receiving scores while anchoring the Junkyard Dogs defense to a shutout of the rival Dolphins to finish a perfect regular season.
Beaufort Academy 64, John Paul II 28: Devonte Green scored four TDs (two rushing, punt return, kick return), Jaxen Porter found the end zone three times (two rushing, one receiving), and Braydon Dineen tossed two TD passes and added two interceptions — including a pick-6 — on defense as the Eagles overcame four Mark Knight TDs to lock up the No. 2 seed and a home playoff game.
Thomas Heyward 53, Greenwood Christian 7: Seven different players scored touchdowns for the Rebels, who rolled to their seventh straight win and finished perfect in region play.
Colleton Prep 14, St. John’s Christian 7: Cole Davis scored a pair of rushing TDs and the War Hawks’ defense shut down the Cavaliers to clinch the No. 3 seed from SCISA Region 1-1A.
