Battery Creek at Loris
After being blanked in the opener, the Dolphins rallied to take the lead late before suffering a walkoff defeat in the nightcap. Aiden Hovest gave Creek a solid outing before letting the lead slip away in the fifth, and CJ Robinson had a big day in the leadoff spot, going 3-for-6 for the Dolphins.

Beaufort High at James Island
Eagles ace PJ Daley sat down the top of the Trojans’ lineup in order in the first but didn’t come out for the second, and James Island (11-1) used three multi-run innings to blow by Beaufort and stay unbeaten in Region 7-4A. Zach Talbert went 2-for-3 with an RBI and ate up five innings of relief for the Eagles.

Warren Hunter’s RBI triple sparked a three-run rally in the bottom of the fifth, and D Hadwin delivered an RBI single to tie it and scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball as the Cougars rallied past the Seahawks. Gabe Wolfe overcame some sloppy defense to limit the damage, and Cam Farnsworth retired all four batters he faced to close it out. The second game was rained out Wednesday and will be rescheduled.

The Eagles jumped on Clemson catcher commit Hogan Garner for an early run and Davis Woods turned in a strong outing, but Beaufort couldn’t muster enough offense to salvage the finale of the two-game series with the Trojans. Logan Brutcher’s leadoff double led to a first-inning run, but Garner kept Beaufort off the board until the seventh and delivered a two-out RBI double in the third among his three hits. Brutcher added an RBI double in the seventh, but Keillor Osbon came on and recorded a strikeout to end it.

Hilton Head Prep at Colleton Prep
The Dolphins erupted for 11 runs in the sixth inning to break open a close game and close out a run-rule victory. After Gunnar Bonomo’s two-run blast made it 6-1 in the top of the third, the War Hawks scored four runs in the third to pull within one, but they couldn’t muster another run. Steele Burd blasted a leadoff homer in the fifth before HHP sent 15 hitters to the plate in the sixth. Landon Schwartz started and earned the win with two solid innings, while Payce Gartner struck out two over two scoreless frames of relief, and Connor Campbell retired the side in order with two strikeouts to close it out.

South Carolina football commit Jace Blackshear pitched three strong innings for the win, and Kyle Scannell closed it out with two scoreless innings, striking out three and allowing two hits and one walk.

Battery Creek at Academic Magnet
The Dolphins dropped another game in dramatic fashion, as the Raptors rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth when Jason Ward hit a two-run go-ahead triple and scored on Cameron Thelan’s single to stun Creek. The late rally spoiled a strong start from Hunter Hollingsworth, who also had an RBI triple.

The Warriors couldn’t overcome eight errors and a 10-run first inning in a Region 7-1A loss to the Islanders. Casey Graham had a big night for St. John’s, earning the win on the mound and going 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs, and Josh Brown had a monster game at the plate for the Islanders.
