Losing the 2020 high school soccer season to the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in something of a shake-up on the area boys soccer scene when play resumed this spring, but one thing didn’t change — the level of talent in the Lowco.
The 2021 season saw several new teams rise to lead the Lowco, including SCISA 1A champion Holy Trinity and SCISA 2A runner-up Hilton Head Christian Academy. Among the other highlights, Hilton Head High challenged for a region title, May River qualified for the playoffs for a fifth straight season, and an upstart John Paul II team split with Beaufort High and nearly knocked off Bluffton.
Beyond the team accomplishments, the area boasted numerous individual standouts, and LowcoSports.com honors the top high school boys soccer stars from Beaufort, Jasper, and Colleton counties with the 2021 All-Lowco Boys Soccer Team presented by Sara Callen, Sea Pines Real Estate Beach Club.
