Bluffton High School’s girls cross country team finished third among 23 teams, and May River High School was fourth, leading a large contingent of local runners at the Saucony XC Kickoff Classic on Saturday at Daffin Park in Savannah.
Led by Perla Jimenez’s 11th-place finish in 21:36, the Bobcats placed four runners in the top 25 and six in the top 40. Emma Paluso (21:36) led May River with a 12th-place finish, while teammate Victoria Sosa (21:55) was 14th.
