The Bluffton High School boys cross country team finished fourth among 28 teams, and May River High School’s Owen Andrews placed eighth overall in 17:58 to lead area runners at the Saucony XC Kickoff Classic at Daffin Park in Savannah.
Armando Jimenez (18:17) finished 13th to lead the Bobcats, who had all five scoring runners finish among the top 42 and seven break the 20-minute mark. Andrews led the way for the Sharks, who had four runners under 20 minutes.
Beaufort High’s Nash Mills (18:24) finished 15th, and teammate Marlon Belden (18:27) was 18th to lead the Eagles to an eight-place finish.
