Lowco HS Boys Lacrosse Roundup: March 12-14

A trio of Lowco boys lacrosse teams picked up recent wins, but the area’s top boys squad thus far stumbled against a budding state power. Here’s the Lowco Boys Lacrosse Roundup for March 12-14, presented by AGC Gutter Company.

HHIHS at Academic Magnet

HHIHS 13, Academic Magnet 8

The Seahawks outscored the Raptors 7-2 in the fourth quarter to pull away in a tight game and pick up a solid non-region win on the road Saturday.

The Sharks struggled on the road Monday, falling to the undefeated Bengals in a lopsided matchup. May River couldn’t slow down Beckham’s Austin Constable (5G, 2A) and Web Perry (4G, 1A), and the Bengals controlled possession all night by winning 21 of 25 faceoffs. The Sharks (6-2, 4-1) travel to Beaufort on Thursday.

MRHS: Brooks Van Esselstyn 1G, 1A, 3 GB; Jacob Bollinger 5 GB, 1 TA; Corbin Wiltse 13 saves

Beaufort High at James Island

The Eagles started out slowly in the first half but turned it on after the break to rally behind four goals from Diego Martinez. Beaufort (3-4, 3-3) hosts May River at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Bluffton at Spring Valley
