The Hilton Head High Seahawks got the better of their Bridge Bowl rivals on the lacrosse field Monday, picking up a pair of dominant wins over the Bluffton Bobcats. The girls were victorious in a 14-1 road decision, while the boys delivered an offensive clinic at home in a 19-3 rout behind an incredible 10 goals from freshman Brady Saba.

It was the Saba show on the boys’ side Monday, as the freshman sensation exploded for 10 goals to lead his team to victory. Saba was simply unstoppable on the offensive end, adding an assist alongside his 10 goals for 11 points on the night.
Bill Fielding netted six goals while dishing out two assists for eight points, Sam Thibodeau tallied two goals and one assist, and Lucas O’Nan added a goal. Max Arnot racked up four assists in an excellent showing, and Lucas Thibodeau recorded three assists. Fielding and Amare Ford each scooped up eight ground balls, while Gavin Dellinger made seven saves in goal.
Hilton Head High (5-2, 5-2) travels to Lucy Beckham on Thursday for a matchup with the undefeated Bengals, while Bluffton (3-5, 0-5) travels to James Island on Thursday.
Seahawks use hot start to rout Bobcats
The Seahawk girls jumped out to an 8-0 halftime advantage and maintained control in the second half as Kara Cooke utilized her full roster to seal the dominant region victory. Hilton Head High’s defense was impeccable, causing 16 turnovers and allowing just seven shots on goal all night.
Bailey Olive used her elite scoring touch to lead the Seahawks with five goals, Anna Ferrebee shined with four goals and three assists for a game-high seven points, and Audrey Rinehart, Lilly Friday, Emilie Fister, Maddie Massey, and Sofia Cavano each added a goal. Midfielder Ella Christie paced Hilton Head High with eight ground balls. Rachel Nix tallied Bluffton’s lone goal in the second half.
The Seahawks (6-2, 4-1) host region leader Lucy Beckham in a key clash on Thursday, while Bluffton (0-6, 0-5) faces James Island at home on Thursday.
