Hilton Head High girls soccer turned in its strongest performance of the season in a 4-1 road win over Beaufort High on Friday.
Abbie Lainhart scored two goals, and Sarah Neville and Andrea Tapia each added a goal for the Seahawks, who played cohesively at every level of the field, denying Beaufort quality chances, distributing through the midfield, and finishing when given the opportunity.

“Our best game thus far,” Seahawks coach Kit Seelbach said. “We found a rhythm. Our defensive line remained compact and steady. Central midfield play was solid. Abbie Lainhart and Addie Trew forced play forward and attacked all night.”
Seelbach praised the Eagles for their effort and said she was especially impressed with keeper Quinn Wilson and freshman starters Payton Mullen, Reese Myers, and Lexi Jones.
Trinity Jones scored the lone goal for the Eagles off an assist from Anna Brown.
The Seahawks (3-3, 2-1) play a cross-island clash with Hilton Head Prep on Thursday in Sea Pines.
Beaufort (1-4-1, 0-3) hosts Lucy Beckham for a Region 7-4A matchup Tuesday.
