Beaufort High golf put together another impressive performance Tuesday at Eagles Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, edging rival Hilton Head High by eight shots to win a five-team match.
The Eagles shot 154 over nine holes, good enough to squeak past the Seahawks (162) and low medalist Nolan Hawkins, who fired a 1-under 35.
Beaufort once again showed off its quality depth, as Jerry Bruns and Jack Sumner each shot 37 to tie for second, and Mason Westerfield (39), Simon McAlister (41), and George Cooler (42) weren’t far behind.
May River’s Andrew Swanson also carded a 37 to lead the Sharks (178) to a third-place finish, one shot clear of Bluffton. Jones Saylor shot 40 and Hunter Cofall carded a 42 to lead the Bobcats.
Battery Creek finished fifth.
