After an undefeated run through Region 7-4A, Hilton Head Island High’s boys cleaned up on the major Region 7-4A basketball awards.
Second-year head coach Chane Brown was named coach of the year, leading the Seahawks to a 9-0 region record before defeating Colleton County and James Island to capture the tournament title.

Senior standout Will McCracken earned region player of the year honors, leading the Seahawks with 20.6 points per game while breaking the program’s single-game scoring mark with a 43-point outburst against Lucy Beckham. A member of the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association 4A Boys All-State team, McCracken led Hilton Head Island High to its first region championship in 16 years. The senior and UNCW commit is joined on the all-region team by teammate and post star Sam Summa.
Beaufort High’s dynamic duo of Oliver Holmes and Zyrin Odom were both selected to the team alongside reliable senior Daniel Phares.
Colleton County sharpshooter and playmaker Silas Holmes received a nod along with May River big man Brady Harrell, while James Island’s Bailey Wiseman, Jaden Scott, and Cohen Gaskins rounded out the honorees. Wiseman joined McCracken on the SCBCA All-State team.
