One area team is still waiting to find out who it will face in the first round of the postseason, but eight others can now map out their paths to the state championship.
Region 7-4A champion Beaufort High received a first-round bye and will host the Hartsville-South Aiken winner in the second round Nov. 15. Hilton Head High opens the Class 4A playoffs at home Friday against Wilson, the No. 3 seed from Region 6-4A.
In the Class 3A bracket, May River will open at home against Swansea, while Battery Creek travels to Strom Thurmond and Ridgeland-Hardeeville opens at Gilbert.
