HS Golf: Dolphins Hold Off HHCA’s Charge To Win Lowcountry Invitational

Hilton Head Prep held off a charge from Hilton Head Christian Academy to claim a four-shot victory in the Lowcountry Invitational on Wednesday.

The host Eagles fired a 1-under-par 215 in the final round at Berkeley Hall’s North Course — led by Virginia Tech signee Daniel Azallion’s 6-under 66 — to put the pressure on the Dolphins, but HHP didn’t crack. Prep posted a team score of 225 for the second straight day to hang on.

HHP’s JT Herman continued his outstanding play in the final round with a 4-under 68 — including a 30 on the back nine — to run away with medalist honors, beating runner-up Azallion by 11 shots.
