HS Golf: Seahawks Win Region Title; Stone Takes Medalist Honors

Hilton Head High’s girls golf team posted a team score of 374 to win the Region 7-4A title by 81 shots Monday at Pinecrest Golf Club in Bluffton.

The Seahawks won the team title by a wide margin over runner-up Beaufort High (455).

Beaufort High’s Izzy Stone fired a 6-over-par 78 to claim medalist honors, edging Hilton Head High’s Emma Hayward by three shots for the individual title.

Hilton Head High’s McKenzie Bradley (89), Morgan Caramello (89), and Eliza Jane Coulter (115) and Beaufort High’s Amelia McKnight (113) and Kyleigh Tokar (122) joined Stone and Hayward on the all-region team.

The teams will be back in action at the Class 4A Lower State Qualifier next Monday at the Port Royal Barony Course on Hilton Head Island.
