HSVB: HHCA Sweeps St. Vincent’s In Tough Match

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s volleyball team swept St. Vincent’s Academy in three tight sets on Tuesday, winning 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-21).

Cortney Gray directed the offense with 26 assists, while Sydney DeSimone had a big all-around night with 15 kills, 19 digs, and two blocks. Lauryn Qualls collected nine kills and 14 digs, Julia Wilder added 12 digs and two aces, and Dior Shelton (three blocks) and Ady O’Grady (six kills, two blocks) played well on the front row.

HHCA (29-6-1) will host John Paul II on Friday and wrap up the regular season at Hilton Head Prep on Monday before the SCISA state tournament on Oct. 19-20 in Myrtle Beach.
