HSFB: The Week 8 RBC Heritage Player of The Week Is …

Week in and week out, we ask you, the Lowcountry sports fan, to make the difficult decisions.

And you rarely let us down.

As one of LowcoSports’ most loyal readers pointed out, this week’s RBC Heritage High School Football Player of the Week ballot was littered with awesome performances.

There was one, however, that stood out above the rest, and you identified it and rewarded the remarkable young man responsible.

After an incredible performance that kept his team’s unbeaten start intact, Beaufort High School’s Kyleik Middleton is the Week 8 RBC Heritage High School Football Player of the Week.

Middleton rushed for 339 yards (!) and three touchdowns to will the Eagles to a 46-38 win at Colleton County on Friday and bring his season totals to 992 yards and 11 TDs. Beaufort needs him to be a beast against Friday, because the Eagles face defending Region 8-4A champion Berkeley in a huge matchup.
