WHHI-TV, Apex Media Planning Weekly High School Football Broadcasts

Local high school football teams will be getting plenty of air time this fall, with WHHI-TV and Apex Media both broadcasting a game of the week throughout the season.

The Covert Aire High School Football Bowl Series returns for its 10th season on WHHI-TV, featuring a different rivalry competition each week with Chris Tremblay (play-by-play), Chuck Zapiec (color), and Mike Covert (sideline) on the call. Games will be shown on tape-delay at 10 a.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. Sunday, 8 p.m. Tuesday, and daily at midnight.

New this year is the Apex Media Game of the Week, which will broadcast live on 106.5 FM and 99.1 FM with Bob Stevens (play-by-play), Jeff Shain (color), and Covert (sideline) on the call. Broadcasts will begin 30 minutes before kickoff with a pre-game show, and Stevens and Shain also will host a weekly preview show from 6-7 p.m. each Thursday.
