Lowco HS Softball Roundup: March 7-10

A promising Bluffton team opened its season, Hilton Head High swept a pair from Thomas Heyward, and Beaufort High’s Kylie Rast put on a show against John Paul II to highlight the high school softball action around the Lowco last week. Here’s our Lowco softball roundup.

Parker Ray struck out six in a four-inning one-hitter and Alyssa Rose drove in four runs to lead a balanced Bluffton offense in a lopsided season-opening win at Spring Valley on Monday.

The Seahawks’ bats found a rhythm at THA on Thursday, scoring in every inning before putting up nine runs in the sixth to end it early and cap a sweep of the Rebels as South Carolina commit Reagan Marchant and winning pitcher Shaina Lugo went deep.
