Hilton Head High boys lacrosse evened its region record with a 16-6 win at James Island on Thursday.
Bill Fielding led a dynamic Seahawks attack with a sock trick of six goals and scooped seven groundballs, while Seth Woods racked up four goals and three assists to go along with nine groundballs, and Brady Saba added a hat trick and two assists.
Max Arnot also had a big game for HHIHS with two goals and two assists, while Jackson Olander and Laird Kennedy added a goal each.
Amare Ford had a team-high 10 groundballs and Anders Kennedy added six to complement the strong play from Fielding and Woods to help the Seahawks control possession. Gavin Dellinger and David Monroy split time in goal with Dellinger saving 13 of 17 shots and Monroy stopping 1 of 3.
The Seahawks (2-1, 1-1) host rival May River for a key region clash at 7 p.m. Monday.
