HSBBB: Rebels wrap up No. 2 spot with narrow win at HHCA

Thomas Heyward boys basketball continued its surge up the SCISA Region 4 standings and clinched the region’s No. 2 seed in the SCISA 2A playoffs with a hard-fought 46-43 win at Hilton Head Christian Academy on Thursday.

Brandon Howard scored 14 points and dished out four assists, Tony O’Banner added 14 points, and Preston Hamilton had nine points and 11 boards to lead the Rebels to their fourth straight win to close out the regular season. 

Isaiah Anderson and Wells Sharp each scored 13 points for the Eagles, and Qayden Turner added eight. 

THA (16-7, 7-3 SCISA 4-2A) now awaits the release of the playoff bracket, while HHCA (8-13, 4-5) hosts Holy Trinity on Monday and Bethesda Academy on Tuesday to close out the regular season.
