Hilton Head Christian Academy girls basketball broke its three-week hiatus from the court with a 53-38 home win over Islands High out of Savannah.
Despite the long layoff, the Eagles were crisp from the start Wednesday evening, racing to a 15-4 lead after one quarter and extending the margin to 33-14 at halftime before cruising to the finish line.
Tamya Hutchinson led the way with 23 points, while Devon Yarde added nine, Abby Peduzzi chipped in with eight, and Skylar Smith had seven in the balanced HHCA attack.
HHCA (5-1) hosts Richmond Hill at 5 p.m. Thursday.
