Hilton Head Christian Academy boys basketball showed its resiliency with a tremendous comeback win Tuesday, soaring past Andrew Jackson Academy 50-41 at the Colleton Prep Holiday Tournament.
After an evenly-played first half knotted at 22, Andrew Jackson cashed in at the free throw line to grab a 37-31 advantage with eight minutes to play. But the Eagles found their game in the fourth, rattling off a phenomenal 19-4 run with two key Speedy Robinson triples to pull out the victory.
Brady Bagenstose led a balanced Eagle effort with 13 points while Qayden Turner added 12 including seven in the opening quarter. Isaiah Anderson scored eight points, and both Robinson and Connor White added six each.
Hilton Head Christian (2-2) receives a bye to Thursday’s championship game.
