The South squad anchored by standouts from throughout the Lowco couldn’t overcome six turnovers in a 28-19 to the North team in the SCISA North-South All-Star Game on Friday at Heathwood Hall.
With players from Beaufort Academy, Colleton Prep, Hilton Head Christian, Hilton Head Prep, John Paul II, and Thomas Heyward, the South stars rallied from an 18-0 deficit to pull within 21-19, but a two-point conversion attempt failed and Augusta Christian’s Zach Blackwell scored a touchdown with 30 seconds left to seal the win.
Hilton Head Prep’s Trevor Weldon kicked field goals of 36 and 43 yards, and HHCA’s Speedy Robinson recovered a fumble to put the South back in the game.
