Lucy Beckham swept the team titles and Hilton Head High’s boys and girls each finished second in the Region 7-4A swimming championships Saturday at Island Rec Center.
The Bengals racked up 807 points to top the girls standings, easily outpacing the Seahawks (477) with May River (436) and James Island (378) close behind, while Lucy Beckham’s 754 points were plenty to wrap up the boys title with HHIHS (388), James Island (369), and Bluffton (355) in a battle for second.

HHIHS and May River each won four races on the girls side, more than any other team. Eli Summa (200 free), Isabella Pozos (50 free), and Skylar Bruner (500 free) all won individual titles for the Seahawks, and Pozos, Summa, and Bruner joined with Brooks Risher to win the 400 free relay. Hannah Yemec (100 free) and Shelby Gourley (100 breast) each won an event for May River, while the Sharks’ quartet of Gourley, Lily Bostwick, Mia Yemec, and Hannah Yemec combined to win the 200 medley and 200 free relays.
Hilton Head High’s boys picked up two wins, as Dylan Magda (200 IM) and Blaise Minkler (500 free) claimed individual titles. Bluffton also claimed two wins from Charlie Deaton (100 free) and Dominic Edl (100 breast), and May River’s Jacob Lally won the 50 free.
