HSFB: Whale Branch holds at No. 3, Eagles slide two spots in weekly polls

Whale Branch and Beaufort High remained the Lowco’s only representatives in the top 10 of the S.C. Prep Football Media Poll released Tuesday.

Whale Branch held its ground at No. 3 in Class 1A after a dominant 34-0 home win over Military Magnet. The Warriors (3-0) face a tough test at home Friday, taking on region rival Baptist Hill.

Beaufort High slipped two spots to No. 9 in the Class 4A poll after suffering its first defeat, 31-17 at Oceanside Collegiate. The Eagles (4-1) are idle this week before opening region play at home against Hilton Head High on Oct. 1.
