Hilton Head High volleyball kicked off region play with a road win Tuesday, downing James Island in straight sets.
The Seahawks made quick work of the Trojans, taking the first set 25-18 before wrapping up the sweep with 25-16 and 25-14 victories.

Ady O’ Grady led the stellar effort with 11 kills and added a team-leading 10 digs alongside three blocks. Kenzie Ryan tallied 10 kills and two aces, while setter McKenna Mason racked up 35 assists with seven digs.
Ava Edri put together a strong performance, earning seven kills to go with five digs and a block. Olivia Shamlou was terrific on defense, adding eight digs and serving two aces.
The Seahawks kicked off their season over the weekend at the Porter-Gaud Tournament, where they went 4-1-1 and fell to SCISA 3A power Cardinal Newman in bracket play.
Hilton Head High (5-2-1, 1-0) hosts Lucy Beckham for another Region 7-4A match Thursday.
