Colleton County softball finished off a sweep of Beaufort High and remained unbeaten in Region 7-4A play with a 9-2 home win over the Eagles on Wednesday.
Whitley Weathers had another big day in the circle for the Cougars, striking out 12 while allowing two runs, seven hits, and one walk in a complete game.

Makayla Chisolm led the Colleton County offense, going 3-for-4 and scoring twice, while Shamorie Overton was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Mackenzie Pellum was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Weathers also did damage at the plate, going 2-for-4, while Sydney Howard drove in three runs, and Jordan Slocum added a two-run double and walked twice.
Madison Sanchez had an RBI double and Carleigh Coolong added a run-scoring single for the Eagles.
The Cougars (7-0) have another key region game at home Thursday against Bluffton.
