HS SB: Bobcats come up short in series finale vs. Trojans

Bluffton softball couldn’t complete the sweep of James Island on Wednesday, falling 5-3 to the Trojans on the road to split the two-game home-and-home set.

The Trojans scored three runs in the fourth inning to break open a 2-1 game and held off a Bluffton rally for the win.

Sydney Walker had a big night for James Island, going the distance in the circle to earn the win and driving in two runs. Walker struck out eight and allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks.

Reagan Kelly had an RBI double, Olivia Harrison and Katie Ryan each went 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Alyssa Rose added a double for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats (6-4, 3-3) were back in action Thursday at Colleton County.
