HS TEN: Seahawks breeze by Bengals to begin busy week

Hilton Head High boys tennis kicked off a busy week with a 5-1 road win over Region 7-4A rival Lucy Beckham on Monday to maintain the Seahawks’ second-place standing in the region.

The Bengals picked up a win at No. 1 singles, but the Seahawks swept the remaining courts in straight sets. Brent Geist, Alex Ruckno, Grant Pagatpatan, and Moses Grant all earned singles victories, and Shane Mason and Stefan Russell teamed up for a doubles win for HHIHS.

The Seahawks (4-1) play three more matches in three days, beginning with a difficult cross-island test against unbeaten Hilton Head Prep on Tuesday.
