Hilton Head Prep baseball raced out to an early eight-run lead Monday to defeat rival Hilton Head Christian 10-2 on the road and pick up its 15th straight win to start the season.
Tommy Stauffer led the Dolphins on the mound, throwing three scoreless innings and allowing just one hit while striking out four. Jaiden Hrobar spun a pair of no-hit innings with two strikeouts to finish off the victory and added a double, a pair of walks, and an RBI on offense. Harrison Green dazzled at the dish, going 3-for-4 with a trio of RBIs while Luke Foley drove in three runs.
Keene Reese led Hilton Head Christian with a 2-for-3 performance, and Kyle Scannell kept the Eagles in the ballgame, pitching the last 4 2-3 innings and allowing just one earned run to a potent Dolphin offense.
Hilton Head Prep (15-0, 6-0) takes on John Paul II at home on Wednesday.
Hilton Head Christian (2-8, 0-6) battles Beaufort Academy on Wednesday.
