Senior Brooke Simons led the way with five goals, and Hilton Head High girls lacrosse earned a third straight win in dominant fashion Thursday, routing visiting Beaufort High 14-1.
“The focus in practice this week has been making sure we stay aggressive on ground balls, and I think we did that from the opening draw,” Simons said. “Once we found something that was working, we stuck to it and kept making sure that we were intense on offense and found the back of the net.”
Bailey Olive also shined for the Seahawks, netting three goals to go along with two assists for five points. Anna Ferrebee also notched a hat trick, Sarah Kate Shupp added a pair of goals and assists, and Ella Christie tallied a goal and two helpers. Emilie Fister and Sharon Urbina contributed an assist each in a standout Seahawk performance.
Mae Williams led the stellar defensive showing with six ground balls, and Megan Rickenbach added two saves in net.
Sophia Pellegrino scored the lone goal for Beaufort High on an assist by Amyah Todd.
