Bluffton boys lacrosse put up a fight in the fourth quarter but was unable to keep pace with Region 7-4A powerhouse Lucy Beckham in a 14-4 home loss to the Bengals on Thursday.
The Bengals frustrated Bluffton’s attack for most of the night and led 10-0, but the Bobcats played them even in the second half after scoring four fourth-quarter goals.
Jackson Skinner scored twice, Ben Ramsey had a goal and an assist, and Chase Day scored a goal for the Bobcats. Carlo Pulido had a team-best three groundballs, and Jackson Reese recorded 13 saves in goal.
The Bobcats (2-6, 2-5) travel to Hilton Head High for another region matchup Monday.
