HS GLAX: Three Bobcats score hat tricks in win over Beaufort

Bluffton girls lacrosse stormed to an 8-0 hafltime lead and cruised to a 15-3 victory at Beaufort High in Region 7-4A play Monday night.

Talia Vaught scored five goals, Sophie Chambella added four, and Zoe Paulmeier also recorded a hat trick to lead the Bobcats, who peppered 32 shots on goal. Lauren Black added two goals and two assists for Bluffton, while Chandler Nix anchored a strong defensive showing with four groundballs and two takeaways and Vaught won four groundballs.

Amyah Todd scored two goals, and Abbi Baise added one for the Eagles. Shelby Holstein made 13 saves for Beaufort.

The Bobcats (6-2, 5-2) travel to Lucy Beckham for a region match Thursday, looking to avenge a 16-3 loss to the Bengals in their season opener.

The Eagles (4-4, 3-4) travel to Hilton Head High on Thursday. Beaufort dropped the first meeting with the Seahawks 10-4 on March 8.
