HS SB: Bobcats stay perfect with rout of Dolphins

Bluffton softball took charge with a six-run third inning and broke it open with a 14-run fourth to rout Battery Creek 21-4 on the road Friday.

Katie Ryan sparked the offensive outburst for the Bobcats with four hits, and Parker Ray, Jayla Quick, Olivia Harrison, and Sydnee Poliquin each added big hits.

Alyssa Rose was strong in the circle for Bluffton, striking out seven, walking two, and allowing just one earned run in a five-inning complete game.

The Bobcats (3-0, 2-0) host crosstown rival May River at 7 p.m. Monday to kick off a key Region 7-4A series.

The Dolphins (0-2) travel to John Paul II on Tuesday.
