Hilton Head High girls soccer picked up its first region victory Friday, traveling to rival Bluffton and turning in a dominant performance in a 2-0 victory.
Abbie Lainhart got the Seahawks on the board in the first half with a beautiful strike to the top left corner, and Johana Martinez slipped a spinning shot past the keeper just before halftime.


HHIHS continued to control possession in the second half and held the Bobcats at bay to preserve the shutout.
The Seahawks (2-3, 1-1) continue region play at Colleton County on Tuesday.
The Bobcats (2-1, 1-1) travel to crosstown rival May River for a region match Tuesday.
