May River boys lacrosse notched its second straight win and its fourth in five games with a dominant 16-0 win over visiting Beaufort High on Monday.
Rob Gadomski led the Sharks’ attack with five goals and three assists, while Whitt Beebe added a hat trick and assisted on two more goals, Reece Simonson scored three times, and Hudson Kramer added two goals and two assists. Andrew Dromsky, Ethan Sotiropoulos, and Mike Mosteller each added one goal, and Eli Hall had an assist.
May River goalies Hayden Borth (3) and Corbin Wiltse (1) needed only four saves to preserve the shutout thanks to an incredible defensive effort. Jacob Bollinger led the charge with 10 ground balls and three takeaways, while Dromsky and Mike Gonzales each scooped eight ground balls and Beebe and Simonson each had six.
Despite the lopsided result, Beaufort High goalie Zach Jindrich did his part to keep it respectable, saving better than 50 percent of the shots he faced, and Jonah Forrestall had a solid game for the Eagles, going 6-of-13 on the faceoff dot and scooping six ground balls.
The Sharks (6-2, 4-1) host rival Bluffton on Thursday.
The Eagles (0-6, 0-6) travel to Bluffton on Monday.
