HS BSB: Miscues undo Seahawks vs. strong OCA squad

Hilton Head High baseball ran into a buzzsaw in the finals of the Woodland Wood Bat Classic, falling 10-0 to Class 3A power Oceanside Collegiate.

The game was scoreless until the Landsharks broke through for a run in the third, but OCA took advantage of six Seahawk errors to break it open with five in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Three Oceanside pitchers combined to limit the Seahawks to one hit — a Jackson Philpot double — while racking up 10 strikeouts. 

The Seahawks (3-2) open region play at home against Bluffton at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
