HS BSOC: Bobcats blank Benedictine on the road

Bluffton boys soccer controlled possession and played outstanding team defense to claim a 3-0 road win at Benedictine Military School on Wednesday in Savannah.

Edinson Alvarez scored a pair of goals for the Bobcats, and Jon Paul Gonzalez added one. Armando Gimenez and Bryce Robertson each assisted on a goal, and Marvin Rodriguez needed only three saves to preserve the clean sheet thanks to a strong defensive showing.

“We were able to control the game for the most part and use our strikers’ speed to create chances,” Bobcats coach Enrique Baez said.

Bluffton (2-0) travels to Beaufort High to open Region 7-4A play Tuesday.
