HSGBB: Bobcats trounce Trojans, still perfect in region

Bluffton’s girls blitzed James Island and breezed to a 55-22 home win Tuesday to stay perfect in Region 7-4A play.

The Bobcats pitched a shutout in the first quarter, outscoring the Trojans 16-0 in the opening period and taking a 27-4 halftime lead before coasting to the finish.

Katie Rodney scored 16 points and Kayleigh Washington added 12 to lead the Bobcats. Madison Washington added seven points, and Cassandra Gray had six.

Andrea Duncan scored seven points to lead the Trojans.

Bluffton (7-2, 6-0) is scheduled to travel to James Island for a rematch Monday.
