HSVB: Seahawks soar past Bobcats on Senior Night

Hilton Head High volleyball celebrated its Senior Night with an impressive 3-0 win over visiting Bluffton on Tuesday.

With the attack running like a well-oiled machine, the Seahawks cruised to a 25-13, 25-16, 25-14 victory over the Bobcats to remain undefeated.

Kenzie Ryan led the Seahawks with 14 kills and four blocks, while Ady O’Grady added eight kills and three blocks, and Makenna Mason tallied 21 assists. Senior Brooke Simons started off the second set with a 10-point service run to stifle any chance for the Bobcats to bounce back.

Marissa Majorkiewicz and Faith Paxton did a nice job with serve-receive for the Bobcats, and Talia Vaught had four blocks, but Bluffton couldn’t keep pace.

HHIHS (5-0) travels to May River for a matchup of the region’s top two teams at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Bluffton (1-3) travels to Savannah to face Calvary Day at 6 p.m. Thursday.
