Beaufort Academy volleyball notched a big region win Tuesday with a three-set sweep of visiting Hilton Head Christian Academy.
BA used a strong all-around performance to win three hard-fought sets from HHCA, 25-19, 25-21, 25-21.

Chase Vaigneur had another balanced night on the stat sheet with eight kills, eight assists, six digs, and four aces, while Claire Tumlin added four kills, five assists, and 10 digs. Ari Gonzalez was a force at the net with six blocks, and Mary Hanna Hiers anchored BA’s defense with 20 digs.
Amelia Auld dished out 27 assists for HHCA, with a team-high 16 of them ending with Abby Peduzzi kills. Ella Klepchick led the team with four digs, and Mackenzie Buchter had three aces.
BA (5-2) hosts Colleton Prep on Monday, looking to avenge one of its losses. HHCA (6-9) travels to rival Hilton Head Prep at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.
