May River girls golf topped its county rivals Thursday, but Hilton Head High’s Alexia Milbrandt claimed medalist honors at Golden Bear Golf Club.
The Sharks cruised to another win, shooting 166 to defeat the Seahawks (190), while Bluffton and Beaufort High did not field complete teams.
Milbrandt, an eighth-grader, fired an even-par 36 over nine holes to edge May River’s Sydney Bowes (37) by one shot.
