No, that’s not a football score. Reagan Marchant blasted two more home runs Friday as Hilton Head High’s softball team outslugged visiting Battery Creek for a wild 27-18 victory in a game that lasted nearly 3 1/2 hours.
Each team posted a 10-run inning in the rollercoaster game, which saw the Dolphins rally from a 10-run deficit to take the lead before the Seahawks came storming back.

The second of Marchant’s homers — a three-run blast to center in the fifth — put the Seahawks ahead for good at 20-18, and Delcie Swift followed with a two-run bomb to center, then shut out the Dolphins for two innings to preserve the win.
Marchant finished with five RBIs, while Maggie Todd had a pair of doubles and drove in three runs, and Alex Fisher and Avery Wagner each added two RBIs for the Seahawks.
Journeigh Doray was 4-for-5 at the plate and took the loss in the circle for the Dolphins, while Olivia Gee and Brianna Martinez each went 3-for-5.
The teams combined for 24 walks, and every player in both teams’ lineups scored at least one run.
